Info
History
The club was formed in 1996 by the local table tennis community.
This was at the
request of Lawrence Sheriff School to form
a Table Tennis Centre of Excellence in Rugby. It enabled the school to obtain
£386,500 in funding
to build the local, and regional, "Lawrence Sheriff County Table Tennis
Centre" which was to be used as the school gym during school time.

PremierClub
in 2005.

Coaching
The
club is keen to coach players to a higher standard. The Club now has several qualified level two coaches
with six more members currently taking their level one. The club coaches in local schools and, when
requested, for Rugby Borough Council and Rugby Sport for Disabled Association. See the
coaching pages.
The club has a top level coach for most club sessions. Coaches
attend every session, with Sunday mornings being the primary coaching
session.
Leagues
The
club enters several teams in the
Daventry League
and the
Leamington League.
You need to complete an
Individual
Player Registration Form (PDF) to
compete in either of these leagues.
Cadets (under 15's) can enter the
National,
Midland
and
♥
of England
cadet Leagues.
Juniors (under 18's) can enter the
Midland,
British and
National Junior
Leagues. The club also has
several teams in
the Nuneaton summer League.
The club runs internal leagues and ladders for club members. There is a
beginners League.
2009-2010 saw the club enter the British Senior and Junior
Leagues for the first time.
Club Tournament & Presentation
The Annual
club tournament
is for club members and is combined with the annual club presentation.
Insurance
The
club is insured via the governing body's agreement.

Protection
The
club supports and follows the ETTA Children's
Charter, ETTA's Child Protection policy
and the NSPCC policy. Any
problems should be discussed with the Club's Welfare Officer who also
administers the accident and incident report book.
CRB
(Criminal Records Bureau) checks
The club's coaches are CRB checked. The
club supports, and follows, the governing bodies
CRB policy and in line with that
all club coaches have CRB checks every three years. Policies are issued via the
County Council. CRB check request forms are available on the ETTA site via the
Development page.
